Just wanted to share this little tid bit.
I’m always reading on healthy tips and stuff and for the first time I came across this one in particular that blew my mind. Well first of all let me explain, I’m a fast eater. I try and try to not eat so fast, try to space out each spoonful but I always end up finishing first in the table. I thought I was bad but turns out my boyfriend’s worse. Shhh! I didn’t say that.
Anyways, back to what I was saying. I stumbled upon this fact and wanted to share with you ladies.
De-stress before you eat.
Try to relax before eating to avoid gobbling down everything in sight—that’s the dreaded mindless eating you’re trying to avoid. If you take a minute or two to relax before eating, you can gain control and mental focus before the meal. Whether it’s a few deep breaths, a short walk or a friendly phone chat, that can only help your meal-time control.

This makes total sense! And I feel like a doofus for not thinking about it before. If I take a few minutes before I eat to just relax maybe I won’t use “food” as a stress reliever and enjoy what I’m eating.
